EQUIPMENT & TRAINING
From Spray Equipment to a Working Production Process

We help manufacturers select application equipment, prepare the spray area, train operators and establish a practical coating process around their production requirements. From the first application discussion to on-site start-up and ongoing support, we bring equipment, materials and people together.
YOUR ROUTE TO PRODUCTION
From Initial Application to Production
A working coating capability brings together the application, equipment, facility and people. We help establish the complete process, from the first production discussion to on-site start-up.
01
DEFINE THE APPLICATION
We review the product or project, likely coating system, batch size, daily material use, spraying frequency and production workflow.
02
SELECT THE EQUIPMENT PACKAGE
We recommend the setup around actual production needs, material handling, facility infrastructure, investment level and future plans.
03
EQUIPMENT + INITIAL MATERIALS
Your configured starting package combines the selected spray equipment, initial coating materials and appropriate application and maintenance consumables.
04
PREPARE THE SPRAY AREA
Your team prepares power, clean and dry compressed air, ventilation and filtration, working space, overspray protection and safety arrangements to the agreed requirements.
05
ON-SITE TRAINING & START-UP
Our technician comes to your facility, helps commission the setup and trains operators using the equipment and materials they will use in production.
EQUIPMENT SELECTION
Choose the Application Setup Around Your Work
We consider batch size, daily volume, spraying frequency, material handling, facility infrastructure, future plans and investment. The E-10hp and E-XP2 serve overlapping workloads: our kg/day and kg/batch guidelines describe different planning measures, not a dividing line between machines. Where production requirements justify it, we generally prefer the Reactor 3 E-XP2.
QWIKLINER

CARTRIDGE APPLICATION
A compact approach for low-volume coating, workshop use, mobile work and occasional production where a full plural-component installation is not justified.
GRACO REACTOR
E-10hp

COMPACT PROFESSIONAL PLURAL-COMPONENT SYSTEM
Our entry-level professional high-pressure option, with a portable configuration and integrated material hoppers. We typically consider it for smaller workloads, including approximately up to 100 kg per working day. This is our planning guideline, not a Graco-rated maximum. It suits operations where workload and investment favour a compact installation.

OVERLAPPING WORKLOADS — selection follows your process, frequency and investment.

INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION SYSTEM
Our preferred approach for most regular production installations, with drum-fed material handling for larger batches, daily use and growth. We generally favour it when individual projects or batches commonly exceed approximately 60 kg of coating, or regular production is expected. This is our selection guideline, not a machine minimum or manufacturer threshold.
YOUR STARTING PACKAGE
More Than the Proportioner
Each package is configured around your intended application and production requirements, combining the equipment, initial materials and practical support needed to establish the process.
01
SPRAY EQUIPMENT
Depending on the setup, equipment may include a proportioner, heated hose, spray gun, material-feed and recirculation equipment, and appropriate accessories.
02
INITIAL COATING MATERIALS
Initial materials selected for the intended coating application, matched to the equipment and production workflow.
03
APPLICATION & MAINTENANCE
Appropriate gun service items, lubricants, cleaning products, spare parts, and masking or cutting consumables for application and routine equipment care.
04
MIXING & MATERIAL HANDLING
Suitable mixing, agitation and material-handling equipment for the selected system, supply format and working arrangement.
05
TRAINING & COMMISSIONING
On-site operator training and practical commissioning support, using the equipment and materials relevant to your team’s intended work.
FACILITY PREPARATION
Prepare the Facility Before Training
SPRAY AREA
Allow clearance around the largest product, provide good lighting, and protect walls, floors and nearby surfaces against overspray. Plan suitable ventilation, air movement and filtration.
UTILITIES
Prepare the electrical supply required by the selected machine, suitable compressed-air capacity and clean, dry air. Confirm the agreed utility arrangements before commissioning.
MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT AREA
Allow access around the machine for service and maintenance. Plan material handling, storage and working space around hoppers or drums, including the preparation and masking workflow.
PPE & SAFETY
Select clothing, gloves, eye/face and respiratory protection for the materials, risk assessment, safety data sheets and local requirements. Enclosed or confined spaces may need additional controls.
Before our technician arrives, your team prepares the facility to the agreed requirements for the selected equipment and application. We review the setup with you so commissioning can focus on the process and operators.
HANDS-ON TRAINING
Your Team Learns on the Equipment They Will Actually Use

THREE FULL DAYS AT YOUR PREMISES
Our standard LINE-X operator program is tailored to your main application, using the equipment and materials your team will operate.
Â
DAY 1 — EQUIPMENT SETUP & TEST SPRAYING
Installation, initial calibration and checks, machine operation, gun handling and test spraying to understand material behaviour.
Â
DAY 2 — SPRAYING PRACTICE & SURFACE PREPARATION
Intensive spraying practice, preparation and masking techniques, followed by preparation of actual components or products.
Â
DAY 3 — REAL APPLICATION & EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE
Coat a prepared real or representative product and work through the complete application. The final half-day focuses on daily and longer-term maintenance, supported by practical troubleshooting.
Practical skills: surface preparation, masking, spraying technique, thickness and process control, safe material handling, maintenance and troubleshooting.

SAFETY & COMPLIANCE
Practical Training + Formal Diisocyanate Training
Practical LINE-X training develops familiarity with your equipment and coating process. Formal safe-use training is a separate requirement for industrial and professional work with products containing at least 0.1% diisocyanates under EU REACH.
Â
Relevant personnel must complete appropriate training before handling these materials. The official Safe Use of Diisocyanates platform offers online training with general, intermediate and advanced routes selected according to the activity and exposure conditions. We help customers identify the appropriate route for their operation.
Â
Formal diisocyanate training certification is separate from our practical LINE-X operator program.
FROM TRAINING TO PRODUCTION
Ready to Start Coating
By the end of the practical program, your operators have worked through the coating process using equipment and materials relevant to your operation, including a real or representative product. They have practised the sequence from preparation to equipment care, building familiarity with the workflow as your team moves into production.
PREPARATION → MASKING → MACHINE START-UP → SPRAYING → PROCESS / THICKNESS CONTROL → SHUTDOWN → CLEANING → MAINTENANCE
AFTER START-UP
Support Continues After Training
MATERIALS & CONSUMABLES
Ongoing supply of coating materials, primers, applicable pigments and finishes, and the application consumables used in your regular coating work.
SPARE PARTS
Routine service items and relevant Graco gun and machine parts for planned maintenance and component replacement.
TECHNICAL SUPPORT
Practical troubleshooting of equipment, application and material or process issues, informed by the setup and coating workflow used in your operation.
PRODUCTION DEVELOPMENT
As production changes, we can review preparation methods, equipment, application workflow and coating-system requirements with you.
REACTOR CONNECT
Selected Reactor 3 configurations offer equipment monitoring, reporting and remote diagnostic capabilities. Availability depends on the equipment configuration; these are machine capabilities to consider when planning your setup.
HIGHER-VOLUME PRODUCTION
From Manual Spraying to Automated Application
For repetitive, higher-volume manufacturing, plural-component coating processes can be integrated into automated or robotic production. The appropriate approach depends on component geometry, preparation, handling, coating requirements and the wider production workflow.
Â
Automation is one possible direction as an operation develops. Different products may call for different application approaches. We review the intended work and production pattern to help identify an appropriate next step.
CARTRIDGE APPLICATION → MANUAL PROFESSIONAL SPRAYING → INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION → AUTOMATED / ROBOTIC APPLICATION
Different approaches for different requirements; each operation follows its own route.
